जामुन के पेड़ पर रहता था एक बंदर, मगरमच्छ रहता था पानी के अंदर। बंदर रोज उसे मीठे जामुन खिलाता, मगरमच्छ अपनी पत्नी के लिए ले जाता। एक दिन पत्नी बोली बंदर का दिल खाऊंगी, बंदर ने अकल लगाई, बोला जान बचाऊंगा!

Jamun ke ped par rehta tha ek bandar, Magarmach rehta tha paani ke andar. Bandar roz use meethe jamun khilata, Magarmach apni patni ke liye le jata. Ek din patni boli bandar ka dil khaungi, Bandar ne akal lagayi, bola jaan bachaunga!
English Meaning
The monkey sat up in his leafy tree, The crocodile called, "Come swim with me!" "Dear croc," said the monkey, "I'm fine up here — The water's deep and danger is near." But the croc was clever and made a plan: "Your heart is what I need, little man." The monkey laughed and swung away — He kept his wits and his heart that day.
